It is very sad to think about how little I have explored Los Angeles despite the fact I have lived in California for almost four years (in April). Sometimes it is very difficult for me to think about what location would be good for certain on-location photoshoots. A few weeks ago, I was on Facebook and saw a WaCow! L.A. post introducing some of the hottest art walls on Instagram around the Los Angeles area. So I decided to give it a try and started planning a photoshoot around the interesting background.
I decided to collaborate with a team of fantastic talents that I recently met: Eveline, Daniella, and Kayti. Upon arriving at Emblem Showroom in the Fashion District, we selected outfits and applied our initial look. We were ready to drive to our first location which was the Abstract Mural wall located at 8th Street and Flower Street. We shot there for about 25 minutes and then headed to the second location, Polka Dot wall at The Springs on 608 Mateo St. As we were driving around the area, to our surprise the Polka Dot wall was painted over. I have to say I was a little bit disappointed at first but to our good fortune we randomly discovered an fantastic wall filled with vivid colors. The address is shown in the map below. We then stayed at the location for the rest of our photoshoot and photographed around the bright and saturated red, purple, yellow, turquoise walls.
